We have been appointed to a speculative masterplan and concept design that supports SUMMA with their EPCF bid for a new green-field airport development in Djibouti.
A feasibility study was completed by Lufthansa in 2014 and the forecast updated by Egis in 2017, which will form the basis of the design.
Our proposed airport masterplan will provide a design solution for a new terminal and airport facilities that offer passenger comfort, are adaptable to cope with changes in operations and technology, can be built and extended with minimum disruption, and conveys an architectural expression that is contemporary, unique and leaves a lasting impression.
The new airport will incorporate a new passenger terminal building designed to accommodate 500,000 passengers per annum equipped with fixed link bridges to connect to at least 2 Code E aircraft.
The new development will include the following: Passenger Terminal Building, Presidential Terminal, Air Traffic Control Tower and Technical Support Building, and Main Power Station amongst many others.
