Stunning private residence, The Strata House has been shortlisted in the WAN Awards 2021, in the category House of the Year.

The Strata House challenges the usual design language of terrace houses by harnessing opportunities, creating a private residence that is not only right for the site, but also for the family that lives there.

The interesting internal spaces have been created with an innovative palette of materials that include off-formed concrete texture, timber grain and an industrial steel matte lustre. These have been thoughtfully selected to provide a backdrop for the daylight and create a play of shadows. Materials were selected for their low-maintenance attributes; reducing energy consumption in the future.  This palette extends through to the internal furnishings with bespoke furniture and cabinets. The internal environment blurs the boundaries with the surrounding outdoor landscape, which is accessed via the double-height main living areas.

The Awards will be hosted digitally on 17 and 18 November.
