Scott Brownrigg are skilled at creating inspiring learning environments that help to enrich lives. Reaffirming our recent work within the Education sector, we have been shortlisted for four Education Estates Awards including the Architectural Practice of the Year Award.

The awards celebrate excellence and achievement in education. The awards dinner will be on 15 October and serves as a key event at the two-day Education Estates conference in Manchester.

Our Practice of the Year shortlisting reflects a highly successful year for our Education sector. With projects across the learning spectrum from state schools realised through government investment programmes, schools designed and delivered directly for Local Authorities and multi-academy trusts, projects for further education colleges, universities and independent schools, both in the UK and internationally.

Our scheme for Stoneywood Primary School in Aberdeen has also been shortlisted for three categories: Innovation in Delivering Value, Inspiring Learning Spaces and Project of the Year – Schools.

Stoneywood, which completed in mid-2018, is the largest Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) school to be delivered in Scotland. It has offered the client, Aberdeen City Council, a pavilion model for teaching spaces that has been positively reviewed by the Council Learning Team and has now been adopted as a best practice model for adoption in future schools.
