This follows Gleeds’ success in being one of only 20 suppliers selected for the framework. Under the framework, Homes England aims to accelerate housing delivery through the purchase and preparation of brownfield sites and surplus public sector land, including sites previously used by local authorities, education establishments and healthcare trusts, for residential development, as well as by funding and delivering primary infrastructure.
The framework will offer Homes England and other public bodies a quick and efficient means to procure high quality, good value, development related technical services. It will cover everything from project and cost management to engineering design, architecture, landscape design, and property advisory services.
Scott Brownrigg will support Gleeds over the duration of the four year framework, helping to increase the pace, scale and quality of places being delivered.
The framework comprises a substantial geographical spread across the UK. Scott Brownrigg’s four UK studios will support Gleeds in their ability to address Homes England’s designated regions. Our Masterplanning and Urbanism team will assist Gleeds in securing and delivering projects of significant scale, from complex urban regeneration sites to strategic housing sites that embed important social infrastructure, to help create places where people want to live.
Scott Brownrigg Director Bruce Calton, and Head of Masterplanning and Urbanism, Jeremy Wills will lead the team, supporting Gleeds in these major projects. Scott Brownrigg are working as a sub consultant with Gleeds to provide masterplanning and urbanism roles on Homes England’s new £100m Multidisciplinary Framework. This follows Gleeds’ success in being one of only 20 suppliers selected for the framework.
Bruce commented that: “We are pleased to be a key element of a very successful Gleeds Advisory team who have been appointed to the Homes England Framework. Our inclusion by Gleeds recognises the important part we play in preparing a deliverable vision for many communities across the UK and in the design talent, quality of work and depth of knowledge we bring within the residential sector. We welcome the challenges associated with delivering the 300,000 new homes required each year by the Government.”
Paul Dennison of Gleeds said: “With our collaborative team of consultants, our approach is focused on Homes England’s aim to accelerate the delivery of affordable, better quality new homes. We will identify and provide creative development strategies that address the specific circumstances of each site, optimising their attractiveness to Homes England’s delivery partners and maximising the potential of delivering new homes. We understand the challenges that can act as barriers to accelerated delivery and will offer sustainable and innovative solutions including the offsite manufacture of construction modules to meet Homes England’s objectives.”
The new framework began on 2 February 2019 and will run until 2023.
“Our inclusion by Gleeds recognises the important part we play in preparing a deliverable vision for many communities across the UK and in the design talent, quality of work and depth of knowledge we bring within the residential sector."
