Scott Brownrigg’s design for the redevelopment of the listed former King College Campus in Hampstead has won the Best Conversion Award at this years Evening Standard New Homes Awards.

Hampstead Manor, on Kidderpore Avenue, for Mount Anvil delivers 156 homes through the conversion of a complex group of five Grade II Listed buildings including the 1843 Greek Revival style Kidderpore Hall (built by an East India Company merchant), the Chapel, former student residences, the Skeel Library and a listed Summer House. The scheme also included the design of three new apartment blocks and eight new townhouses within sensitively landscaped grounds with two levels of new basement car parking.

The Evening Standard’s New Home Awards champion excellence across the housing spectrum from first-time buyer flats to innovative family homes, factory lofts and historic conversions.

Judged by experts and its readers, Hampstead Manor was cited as having everything a buyer would want — inventive design, hi-tech, low-energy features, thoughtful use of space, sustainability, glamour and value.

Last year Hampstead Manor took the Silver Award for the Best Renovation category at the What House Awards.
