Expansion and Redevelopment of SM City Marikina shopping mall in the Philippines is well underway   

The redevelopment of SM Prime’s SM City Marikina shopping mall, originally completed in 2008, is well underway.  

We were briefed to redevelop and expand upon the existing façade with five levels of retail, with the aim to enhance the vibrancy and lustre that SM City Marikina once had.  

Led by our team in Singapore, designs draw inspiration from the “Fire Tree” with a subtle curve and foliage shapes mimicking the silhouette of the tree and its flower widely found across Marikina City.  

Biophillia will be incorporated into a stunning new façade, atrium and throughout public spaces. The scheme is one of two ongoing projects designed by our Singapore team for SM Prime malls.
