Scott Brownrigg is a Finalist in the Architectural Practice of the Year category at this year’s Building Awards. Run by Building Magazine, the awards recognise industry excellence.
The shortlisting for Architectural Practice of the Year reflects significant developments within the Practice as we continue to build a sustainable business that embodies our purpose as a global design leader - to enrich lives through the built environment and to help transform the industry.
Supporting this plan, we are pursuing an international growth strategy, with projects as far afield as New Zealand.
During the last year our Singapore team relocated to new and larger premises following a series of project wins and we opened a studio in Amsterdam that focusses on data, science and technology sectors.
We built upon our strategic partnership with Crown Architecture in New York with the creation of new entity SB+C Architecture, D.P.C. now our US operating arm that serves the NY and wider US market.
Research into sustainable and ecological design solutions were central to the Practice’s Design Research Unit. Whilst notable recently completed schemes include: Istanbul Airport; Victoria Gate, Woking let to McLaren Automotive; the Bio-Hub at Cambridge Science Park; Cambium for Lendlease; Three Rivers Academy, Surrey; London Design and Engineering UTC; Vista Chelsea Bridge; Stoneywood School in Aberdeen; Great Western Academy and Hard Rock Hotel London.
Alongside this recognition from Building Awards, we were shortlisted for Practice of the Year at the AJ100 Awards, cementing our place in the UK Top 10 architectural practices.
Winners of the Building Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony on Tuesday 5 November 2019 in London.
