Building 5 at Krylatsky Hills Business Park in Moscow has been leased by the global leader in the sporting goods industry; Adidas Group. Designed by international design practice Scott Brownrigg for owners Millhouse LLC, the 32,000 sq m space will be the company’s headquarters for Russia and CIS. The deal represents the largest leasing transaction on the Moscow Class A office market since the beginning of 2014.
The design for Building 5 at Krylatsky Hills transforms a former medical centre building into a visionary office environment with additional research facilities. A simplistic design approach has created an efficient and flexible plan for the building, providing a sequence of spaces which are all accessible from a central circulation atrium that interconnects all levels and provides interactive opportunities for occupants.
The double height reception area has the flexibility to be used in a variety of ways and provides access to both dedicated retail areas and meeting suites. These connected areas lead to further spaces designed for ‘open innovation’ and ultimately where a participatory sequence of experiences can occur. The design of the building also connects it seamlessly with the surrounding landscape and the building’s contextual setting within Krylatsky Hills Business Park.
Martin Shankland, General Director of Adidas Group CIS said: “The Adidas Group is very interested in the Russian market. Over the last decade we have improved the position of the Adidas and Reebok brands in Russia, and we have serious expansion plans. Employees are the foundation of our future, and acquisition of this new office is an important step for us. A spacious, modern office in a lovely district of Moscow is a perfect match for our philosophy of changing everyone’s life through sport. Our employees will have everything needed for development and immersion in the world of sports.”
Elena Malinovskaya, Leasing Director of Millhouse Real Estate Department commented: “Krylatsky Hills is a rare case of a modern, European-level business park in Moscow. Its original concept and advantageous location in the west of Moscow have assured it constant popularity with tenants, including some of the largest and most demanding international companies. The best proof of quality is almost complete occupancy of the business park. We are happy to welcome the Adidas Group aboard and we are certain that this tenant’s innovative concept of a sports office will become another mark of distinction for the park.”
The Adidas Group is planning to move to Krylatsky Hills in early 2016.
