Our comprehensive refurbishment of the Grade II listed Adelaide House has been granted planning approval from the City of London Council. Originally completed in 1924 on the site of the original London Bridge, Adelaide House was London’s first steel frame building, and at the time of construction was the tallest building in the City.

The concept enhances and celebrates the existing structure of the building, whilst weaving in contemporary services and facilities expected by City of London tenants. Materials have been chosen with reference to the historic elements, and used in a modern way. The roof top, originally a rose garden and putting green for the building occupiers, has been converted into a terrace with extensive views up and down the Thames.

Staff and visitors have access to high quality amenity onsite; reception boasts an associated business lounge at ground floor and the scheme features an extensive roof terrace with far reaching views along the Thames and of the City cluster.

Accessibility has been upgraded to meet modern standards throughout. Our BREEAM Excellent design provides double the number of cycle parking spaces and changing facilities than recommended by the British Council of Offices, promoting a healthy commute to work.

Work is expected to start on site in February 2022.
